Woodturning is an artform which has been practiced for thousands of years, and at Oke Craft we use our skills and experience to create high-quality beatiful items from a wide range of materials.

In our workshop at Lydford near Okehampton we make our high quality handcrafted pens, practical items such as turned stair spindles and newel posts, porch columns and finial posts to any design as well as gifts to suit many occasions.

Natural resources are increasingly precious and we always try to ensure that waste is kept to an absolute minimum in all our commissions; this results in products with a lower environmental impact and reduces costs for both us and our customers. Wherever possible, and in particular for our wooden gift ranges, we use timber which has been gleaned from the local hedgerows as a part of the normal annual maintenance process, and which would otherwise simply be chipped or burned.
